This workshop is open to all skill levels, covering fundamentals like posture, hand technique, and basic chords, as well as simple improvisation. For intermediate mandolin players, it focuses on skills like playing in second and third position, tremolo, glide strokes, and ensemble playing. Participants will also improve their musicianship through group performance.

Join a week-long day camp at Eastman for students entering grades 5-9, filled with music-making in a fun and supportive environment. Daily activities include ensemble rehearsals, music and movement, percussion, and World Music, culminating in a final performance for friends and family. For almost 100 years, Camp Stella Maris has been a home away from home for campers to try new and exciting things, challenge themselves, and make friends that will last a lifetime. Campers unplug for the week and experience the excitement of an entire summer in just six days. Our overnight campers sleep in one of our 21 cabins while Day Campers share the facilities during the day. Shaving cream wars, mudslides, and campfires are some CSM classics that campers are sure to love.

Through hands-on experiments, microscopes, and guided exploration, students will discover how life begins, learn about genetics, and even raise their own zebrafish from egg to larvae. This engaging program brings science to life—literally—sparking curiosity, discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the wonders of biology!
