OFC’s kid camp shows are typically 60-minutes in length and include full cast musical numbers as well as opportunities to feature soloists, specialty dancers, and supporting characters. Oftentimes these are Junior (Jr.) productions which are a 60-minute version of a full Broadway show, the Jr. versions reduce verses in long songs, cut subplots or unneeded musical numbers, and make the scripts easy to read and memorize for student performers.

Focusing on skills in acting, singing, and dance — instructors will lead campers in learning a short 12–15-minute full stage production. Campers will be introduced to costumes, sets, props, and more all while having fun onstage! Each camper is guaranteed a role in the show. Perfect for kids coming out of their shell or for those ready to take center stage and hit their spotlight!

Join jazz educator Aaron Staebell – drummer for the cutting-edge band Bending and Breaking, and professor at Ithaca College – for this creative exploration into the world of jazz combos and improvisation. Students will be grouped in combos with students of similar age and experience, and participants will learn to hone their improvisation skills. The workshop will include performances by guest musicians, listening sessions and discussions of jazz styles.

No experience needed! Immerse your child in a world of creativity through music, art, and movement. Guided by expert instructors and guest artists, each themed session sparks imagination and concludes with a Friday performance. This workshop is open to all skill levels, covering fundamentals like posture, hand technique, and basic chords, as well as simple improvisation. For intermediate mandolin players, it focuses on skills like playing in second and third position, tremolo, glide strokes, and ensemble playing. Participants will also improve their musicianship through group performance.

Experience the vibrant music of Bali in this five-day Gamelan Workshop, open to students in grades 6 and up, including adults. Participants will learn traditional Balinese music on gamelan angklung through oral/aural instruction, developing fundamental techniques and an appreciation for non-Western musical aesthetics. This is a non-residential, in-person program.

This Summer Session offers 5 weekly 45-minute classes for Early Childhood students, with placements in either the 9 a.m., 10 a.m., or 11 a.m. slot based on age group. Parents will receive class time and location details via email or phone by the Saturday before the session starts. Due to limited spaces, no refunds will be given once enrolled.
