YMCA of Greater Rochester
The YMCA of Greater Rochester offers a variety of youth sports programs, including basketball, soccer, football and gymnastics. With a variety of options, there is a sport for every kid, at any level, to play. The Y’s programs teach kids life skills such as being a team player and the importance of participation over winning. Youth sports are a great opportunity for kids meet new friends, try new sports and build upon the basic skills they already have.
Rochester Regional Health Total Sports Experience
Total Sports Experience's popular children's Micro Programs are offered year round in soccer, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, flag football, TSE PE (multi-sport), and TSE Adapted PE for children with special needs. Coaches bring structure to the program with age appropriate games and activities to build skills in the particular sport as well as enabling participants to enhance both their social and motor development. Programs start at age two and are offered on most days of the week at their facilities in East Rochester (Eastside) and Gates (Westside).
Roc Boxing
Step into the ring for fun and fitness!Our youth boxing programs build self-confidence, instill overall self-discipline – and they’re lots of fun! Our eight-week programs teach proper boxing stance, footwork, individual/combination punching, defense skills, blocks and slips. Workouts include heavy bag punching, target mitt work, and situation sparring along with excellent conditioning - rope jumping, calisthenics, plyometric drills, and flat and hill runs. Class size is limited to 10 students ages 8-16.
Rochester Fencing Club
The Rochester Fencing Club, owned by Olympian Felicia Zimmermann, provides world-class fencing instruction through individual and group lessons for all levels. We also offer classes through recreation center programs and home school classes. Camps are also held during the summer. We offer beginner sessions for youth and adults looking to try fencing. We also have a range of programs from recreational to competitive for those wishing to continue after the beginner sessions. Please check out our website for more information!
Cheer Athletics Rochester
Whether your child is 6 months old or 18 years old, we have the perfect class for them! Choose from a variety of options, including infant sensory activities, preschool, jumps, flyer&base training, tumbling levels 1-6, unified cheer, and flexibility/strength training. Join us six days a week in our welcoming and supportive environment for a fun and engaging experience.
