Preschool Adventures ROC

Preschool Adventures is a program for preschoolers and their adult to work together. They are held in Webster, Penfield, Perinton and Brighton. Please check the Events tab or contact me for exact dates and locations. Private parties and evening classes are also available. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education from Bucknell University and a Food Handling Certificate from Monroe County, as well as 15+ years of teaching preschoolers in many different settings. Each week centers around a different theme. I encourage the children to use their imagination and problem solving skills to create, while guiding the adults through various ways to engage the child. Some projects will be suitable to take home, others will be process art. There are also always sensory activities and manipulatives that accompany the theme. Many are hand made so that all of the projects work together. Kids and their adult are free to work their way through these stations at their own pace, while I will offer new ideas and ways to explore. The last portion of "Preschool Adventures" is spent doing a large motor activity such as a dance or group game. In "Kids in the KItchen" we come together to sample our snack. The day after class an e-mail is sent home listing any book, recipe, or idea to extend the learning at home. Thank you for your support! -Sherry Murray
