See Alma Thomas: A Life in Color, a short documentary that unveils the life of the trailblazing artist (who also had fun with fashion), immerse yourself in her brilliant exhibition, Composing Color, and enjoy the in-gallery hands-on activities. Film screening (6:30–7:00 pm); enjoy the exhibition (7:00–8:00 pm).

About the Program

“Through color I have sought to concentrate on beauty and happiness . . .” Let’s honor artist Alma Thomas and do just that! Wear something COLORFUL and join us for a film screening of Alma Thomas: A Life in Color, a short documentary that unveils the multi-faceted life of the trailblazing artist and educator, who also had fun with fashion! Afterward, immerse yourself in her brilliant exhibition, Composing Color, and enjoy the in-gallery hands-on activities—feel joyous at this gallery huddle!

6:30-7:00 pm: Film screening in auditorium

7:00-8:00 pm: Enjoy the exhibition and permanent collection

Registration is required. Ticket includes museum admission.
