Looking for a chance to work for a week in one of the museum’s trades? This camp provides 15 – 18-year-olds a five-day introduction to one of our historic trades! Each day you will roll up your costumed sleeves as one instructor will guide you, and one other participant, through the fundamental steps of one of our historic trades. One of your finished objects will be entered into the Agricultural Fair Blue-Ribbon contest in October.

The great outdoors is great for kids! During this program, campers will work as a team to sample what Mother Nature has to offer as they immerse themselves in the natural world and engage in a variety of crafts, games, and activities. Play in the creek, build a fort, search for salamanders, explore the trails and ponds, cool off in the sprinkler, amongst other adventures

Whether you are new to fishing or have been fishing for years, there is something for everyone in this class! Learn (or sharpen) your skills in identifying species of fish and aquatic insects, scouting for bait, baiting a hook, catching, preparing and cooking a fish over an open fire. Practice your skills while exploring fishing ponds and the Oatka Creek located on the Museum land that is open only for guided experiences.

Talk about action and fun - our summer camp at Martial Arts America combines the best of fun, friends and excitement. Kids learn basic karate skills, improve their fitness, confidence and focus along with weekly theme activities like ninja obstacle courses, samurai challenges and super hero action. Ages 6 - 12. No karate experience needed.

During the 6 weeks, your child will experience the excitement and fun of our karate classes and you'll get to see how karate can teach the life skills you're looking for for your child. Have fun learning open-hearth cooking during this hands-on class for girls and boys. Explore the museum gardens, and bring seasonal ingredients back to the kitchen. Learn how to correctly build a fire for open-hearth cooking and make simple 19th-century dishes. During the week students will also make their very own receipt (recipe) book to bring home.

Explore the wonders of the woods with Summer Curiosity Camps at the Cumming Nature Center! Join our outdoor educators as we search for salamanders, build gnome homes, climb trees, and dig for artifacts. Each camp offers a different theme to immerse children in the natural world and spark their curiosity. With 900+ acres and 15 miles of hiking trails, the beautiful surroundings of the Nature Center are the perfect setting for campers to learn basic wilderness skills, nature science, outdoor team-building activities, nature awareness, nature-based art techniques, and more!

Trolls The Musical JR. is based on the irreverent DreamWorks Animation movie franchise and features a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters. The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomach.

Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

Join Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Get ready for a week of outdoor-inspired activities! Our Nature Explorers Summer Camp invites our youngest explorers to tap into their imagination to uncover the wonders of the natural world. Each day, campers will dive into hands-on activities that spark imagination, encourage collaboration, and build confidence—all while capturing the beauty of nature. Campers will share their activities in a performance and art exhibit on Friday, July 24 at 11:15 am.

Grab your flute and get ready for some fun! This collaborative offering with the Rochester Flute Association offers students the opportunity to focus on making music with fellow flutists through group lessons, workshops, and flute ensembles. While making music in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, students will increase their knowledge of tone production, rhythm, technique, and ensemble playing.
