Whether you are new to fishing or have been fishing for years, there is something for everyone in this class! Learn (or sharpen) your skills in identifying species of fish and aquatic insects, scouting for bait, baiting a hook, catching, preparing and cooking a fish over an open fire. Practice your skills while exploring fishing ponds and the Oatka Creek located on the Museum land that is open only for guided experiences.

If you’re curious about how comic books or manga are made, or if you have a story that you want to tell, or even if you just enjoy drawing, then this camp is for you. Director and critically-acclaimed writer/artist Dave Chisholm will discuss the many topics related to this discipline including story structure, script writing, character design–and, of course, there will be LOTS of time dedicated to drawing comics! Students are expected to bring a sketchbook or tablet as well as favored drawing utensils. Please no liquid media (watercolors, acrylic paint, inkpots, etc.)

This collaborative offering with the Rochester Flute Association offers students the opportunity to focus on making music with fellow flutists through group lessons, workshops, and flute ensembles. This camp will celebrate the music of language and the language of music, from the flow of dialogue in improvisational theater to the rhythms and texts of music. In the morning, students will play language-based improv games and explore collaborative poem-making with a playwright.
