At Preschool Storytime & Craft, we promote early childhood literacy through reading aloud as well as developing fine motor skills through simple crafts to prepare children to be able to succeed in daily tasks related to both school and life. These crafts are related to the picture book being read aloud and may include activities to help with developing scissors skills, holding a writing utensil correctly, hand and finger strengthening using tongs/scissors/bottle of glue/glue sticks, tracing images or items on paper, and strengthen hand eye coordination. This month, we will be reading The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend by Dan Santat and making a craft related to the book.
This event is geared to children ages 3-6, with the help of their adult care-giver, and we appreciate you adhering to this age guideline.
